But the most amazing thing is that many Republicans in Alabama are saying that they will still vote for him over voting for a Democrat. This is insane that you would vote for a suspected pedophile over a Democrat. I saw a couple of explanations from columnists who live in Alabama:
- They don't care about the issues or who will best represent them, but they are keeping score. This is Team Republican vs. Team Democrat, and Alabama can't give the opposing team a victory.
- They don't believe the story because it has not come up before in previous elections and probably just a story from the opposition in Alabama.
- This is just a conspiracy by the national Democrats and the mainstream media and cannot be trusted.
- It happened a long time ago and God forgave him so I will also.

So, how has the blind loyalty to Republican candidates helped Alabama? They are at the bottom on almost every category that matters and their elected officials have routinely been expelled based on corruption. Three of the last six Governors left and then faced indictment on corruption charges. The Attorney General, head of the Alabama legislature and Governor all at the same time were operating under a cloud of scandal. Two out of the three were ousted and the other was appointed to the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions. Here are the current facts that I found about how Republican leadership have helped Make Alabama Great:
- Alabama is 42th among the states for those with health insurance.
- Alabama is 44th in high school graduation rates and the same in number with a bachelor's degree when compared to the rest of the union.
- Alabama is 49th in life expectancy, and their friends in Minnesota live an average of 7 years longer than those in Alabama.
- Alabama's African Americans have a life expectancy of 72.8 years which is 2 years 8 months shorter than their white citizens living in the same state.
- CNBC ranked Alabama as 37th place in 2017 for constructing an environment for business. They ranked Alabama as dead last in Quality of Life and 47th in Quality of Education in the state.
- Alabama is third worst state for adult obesity tied with Arkansas in 2016.
- Alabama is ranked 47th among the states in median income in 2015.
- According to the FBI, Alabama is the 40th safest state in the union for 2016. They are claiming the 10th highest violent crime rate in the United States.
- Alabama's unemployment rate is 1% higher than the rest of the United States.
- Alabama also was 1% higher on the percentage of number of low income working families compared to the rest of the United States.
- Alabama is 3% higher percentage of the population living below the poverty level in 2015.
- Alabama ranks 48th in number of people living in poverty.
