You seem like a nice enough guy and I know you took over the most sought after seat in news after your predecessor drove away millions from the show. You and your friends are being rolled every week by these Master Propagandists and you are looking like fools. It has gone to a new level now that they are in office. Today, Mr. Priebus told you that you talked too much which was basically the same message white supremacists' favorite staff Steve Bannon told the New York Times. He knows that you are making fun of him on the set before he comes on, by the way. You allowed these guys to make unsubstantiated claims, and after not being challenged they constantly ratcheted up the rhetoric. They were outrageous and you were a co-conspirator. Now they are not going to show their taxes to show the web of entanglements and you just sat there and did nothing. How about some collective action by the media until you stop getting stonewalled?
You played patty cake with the dodge ball queen Kellyann Conway last year and you never took any of them seriously. You expected us to see through their lies, but you never told your audience that they were in fact lying. You and your friends focused on the horse race and forgot about the issues. You never challenged them to name one time in history that Donald Trump has been a good rich guy and looked out for anyone but himself? You never challenged his asinine policies--give me a break, "a wall that Mexico will pay for!" Or you let them say over and over that they would repeal and replace without any details. How about shutting them down if they are just going to make things up? You let hundreds of Trump speeches go unchallenged with absurd statements. You never asked about the misogyny of the Trump supporters and the "Lock her Up" chants. Did they really want the opposition locked up like in a third world country? You kept letting them go back to attack Clinton about every question. None of you ever shut them down with that crap. You would think that all that spin would work once or twice, but every single day of every single week?
You and your other political hosts failed the American public and they have only ramped up their game since the Inauguration. They have now openly declared war on you and you have done nothing different. For example, there was chaos at the airports and you let a grown up Alfred E Newman tell you that everything was just temporary and that it was smart to surprise airport personnel. You got fooled by the "seven countries were proclaimed dangerous by Obama and Congress," which was false. In fact, that was a warning for travel to those countries but you let it go. You never asked him to name one refugee terrorist from the seven countries identified. You never challenged him on where the current system of extreme vetting of refugees was deficient. He shut you down and was allowed to spin this evil unAmerican policy.
You act like you are groveling at the feet of these people to allow you to sit at the cool table. In the bigger picture, you have never asked why is no one in the administration reaching across the aisle or to the majority of Americans who did not vote for Trump? Why are there only Republicans in the cabinet which breaks the tradition of the last four Presidents? Why does the President never talk to the Democrats? Why have they never tried to heal the divide in this country? They never answered for all the protests against the administration or the protests around the world. If you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem. You have shamed your profession.
