Dear Midas Corporate Offices:
You might want to look at the University Hts location and ask the owner to either shut up or move to a community that would not be so offended by his opinions. I was in getting an oil change on August 2, and heard the most disturbing rant while waiting for my car. He lost a customer today for his radical opinions about Donald Trump. He is allowed his opinions, but we do not have to support those opinions with our business. His shop is in the middle of one of the most progressive communities in Northeast Ohio with a vast majority of his neighbors Bernie or Hillary supporters. If these individuals found out the owner of this store had such radical views on justice and poverty this would transform this business into a very lonely place. His views may work in Medina County but in most of Cuyahoga County they are highly offensive.
The owner of this facility was ranting about how great Donald Trump is.
- Trump will take a firm hand to America. We need that.
- 65% of Americans are unemployed or living off the government. I have been in this country 30 years and I have never taken money from the government.
- In Czechoslovakia people weren't allowed to say racist things for fear of being executed, but was happy that he was allowed to speak freely.
- Sometimes I had to work two jobs, but I would never take money from the government. All these people just take from government and don't want to work.
We urge you to speak to this owner about his denigrating of America and other taxpayers. We respect his freedom to say whatever he wants about how he pulled himself up by his bootstraps, but many of us in Cleveland do not appreciate this "Makers vs. Takers" philosophy. We do not want to support a business owner who hates fellow Americans who have fallen on hard times. We do not want to support a franchise that attempts to create divisions in the American public and most likely relies on unemployed people desperately looking for jobs in order to keep wages low for his workers. We do not want to give our hard earned income to a man who is so full of hate toward those struggling with a disability.
In Cleveland Hts. we welcome immigrants from other countries setting up businesses, but not those who try to pull the ladder away from other parts of the world torn apart by division and conflict. Please shut him up or shut him down. He is an embarrassment to the Heights community.
Max Johnson
