Republicans Keep Saying Russia Did Not Effect the Outcome

Where is your proof? Why are reporters not asking show us your proof?  It they keep saying that there is no evidence Russia had an impact on the results, where did they get that information?  If everyone knows that Russia tried to have an impact on the election.  If everyone knows that they hacked the DNC.  If everyone knows that the Trump campaign was dead and expected to lose after the Access Hollywood tape.  If everyone agrees that Trump lost the popular vote then why is it beyond reason that the Russians were successful beyond their wildest dreams?

They attempted to undermine confidence in our voting process so that some would sit it out.  Successful!  They tried to undermine our institutions so that we would not believe Congress, the FBI, and our government.  Successful!  They tried to fracture our population into two camps where everything is viewed through the prism of Left vs. Right.  Successful! They preyed on the weakness of our Fourth estate who try to allow minority opinions to speak, but that often give wild conspiracy theories undeserved weight.  Successful!

I would say that the Russians won.  They provided a narrative that our populous ate up.  They have discredited the Executive Branch and then that group has torn apart confidence in the Courts and Legislative Branch.  Our feckless media has argued among themselves and allowed one entity to forward propaganda and become the TASS of the Trump administration.  If the Russians were not successful beyond anyone's imagination, then why did they do the hacking?  What was their intended outcome if not to see Donald Trump as the next President of the United States?

It is like there was this line that we all knew we could not cross to win an election. We could not undermine our voting process.  We could not kill the media, and attack our own party to get elected before 2016.  Then this guy came along who had no chance of getting elected without burning down every institution and every obstacle.  He neutered his fellow Republicans and they did nothing.  He turned the media into a cheer leading corp. He declared government was a swamp, and no one defended the life sustaining activity of the food stamp program, or Medicaid, or the CDC, or National Transportation Safety Administration.  Trump made a fool of the Democrats and has yet to even recognize that they represent half the country.  He crossed all the lines in a desperate attempt to win the election and it worked.   Now that we are past that line.  We can never go back.
