Things Are Just Crazy in Trumplandia

What a strange week in the United States when the we needed a leader and we got a Demagogue.  Slimy Donnie.  He gave a speech to  proclaim that radical Islam needs to be controlled and not through that politically correct way that we have done it in the past with rules and diplomacy.

"When I'm elected I will suspend immigration from areas of the world where there's a proven history of terrorism against the United States, Europe or our allies until we fully understand how to end these threats."

"We need to respond to this attack on America as one united people, with force, purpose, and determination. But the current politically correct response cripples our ability to talk and to think and act clearly."

Trump suggested that Obama was somehow sympathetic to those responsible for terrorism.  It did not make sense and it was stupid, but seemed to forward the campaign based solely on fear.  This bogie man campaign did not seem to take off like it did after the Paris attack or maybe it did not work on the General Electorate like it did no Republican voters.

Slimy Donnie complemented himself on what a great job he is doing and how he was right about how to properly address terrorism.  Then he went after the media and especially the Washington Post.  This is what all good Demagogue's do.  They construct a straw man to attack and this week that is the Washington Post.  The media has heaped millions of dollars of free publicity on this guy and he hates them and complains about them.  He wouldn't be anywhere without the media, and yet they are the enemy?

In an interview with Meet the Press reporter Hallie Jacskson Slimy Donnie said, "I don't think I need that money, frankly.  I mean look what we are doing right now.  It is like a commercial except a tougher than a normal commercial."  What the hell?  Why didn't she stop and say, "Wait a second, this is not a commercial.  What the hell are you talking about?"  You can't condemn the media, but then say that they are doing a commercial for you.  An amazing week in America?
